Stepping into the Twitter stream is not unlike Ruby’s experience of watching a garage sale. There is a lot of sifting, shoving and shushing going on, along with the opportunity to see tweets being tossed and turned in people’s minds and then laid back down again.
The following Tweet from @MsHMFL got tossed and turned in my mind .
#ukedchat #solotaxonomy here are a few things from preparation for INSET 1st September http://t.co/3Uctxhaw8F pic.twitter.com/B4BbbD44U2

@MsHMFL Great helps students see conceptual thinking comes from surface/deep thinking – 2-D differentiated bulletpoints go 3-D #SOLOTaxonomy

I am certain that making the SOLO Fortune Teller will provide a great collaborative revision challenge for students.
In response to @MsHMFL’s tweet I created a generic version of the SOLO Fortune Teller strategy – one that can be used with images, symbols, text or data – in any learning area. Will be offering it to the schools I work with this term and collecting feedback on how to tighten the prompts to improve outcomes. You can download a draft version of the MSWord template here.

Thanks for sharing the “Fortune Teller” – I can’t wait to use it with my students and I want to find a way to use it in teacher PD. I will make sure that I attribute to: https://pamhook.com/2014/07/19/solo-fortune-teller/
Love the concept. Thanks!
