SOLO Taxonomy

SOLO Taxonomy is a model of learning that provides a framework for surface, deep, and conceptual understanding (Biggs and Collis 1982)

SOLO Self Assessment Tool

  1. Identify a SOLO learning verb to bring in ideas, link ideas or extend ideas.
  2. Click on the appropriate SOLO map and use it to help draft an outcome.
  3. Monitor your progress with the SOLO self-assessment rubric.
  4. Record your learning outcome in your learning log.
